Read Dale's Open Letter to the Public

Tuesday, February 24, 2004 patrons of the Kiamichi Technology Center School District will elect a member from Zone IV to the Kiamichi Board of Education. My name is Dale Jackson, I am a resident of Clayton, and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the Zone Oklahoma IV Board position.

I was raised in Clayton, Oklahoma. Following graduation from Clayton High School, I attended Eastern Oklahoma State College at Wilburton and Southeastern State University at Durant before completing a B.S. Degree in Vocational Agriculture Education and M.S. Degree in Vocational Education at Oklahoma State University at Stillwater. I taught vocational agriculture for 14 years before starting my own business. DJ’$ Fund Raising is a family-owned and operated business based on the principles of hard work, customer satisfaction, and community service. The company’s motto is “United We Can Make It Happen”. I bring this same positive outlook to my campaign for Kiamichi school board member.

Along with building the business and ranching, my wife Pam and I are very involved with the education of our four children—Derek an eighth grader at Clayton Middle School, Savannah a sophomore at Clayton High School, Kayla attending University of Houston Medical School, and Justin, a graduate from Southeastern State University, works in the family business.

Vocational and career education is a vital component within the State’s educational system. Kiamichi Technology School District is large, covering all or part of 13 counties in Southeastern Oklahoma, including LeFlore, Latimer, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, McCurtain, Choctaw, Cole, Atoka, Johnston, Bryan, Haskell, McIntosh, and Hughes. All registered voters within the Kiamichi District can vote in this board election on February 24 at their regular voting places.

It is imperative that high quality programs for high school students and adults are provided throughout the District. I have the background, experience and qualifications needed to represent the people of the Kiamichi District well. Your vote for Dale Jackson is a vote for someone committed to making a good school district even better.
